This dress is so beautiful it makes me wish there were girls in my family to buy it for. (Or perhaps that I could go back in time and get it for myself. I can totally see myself flouncing around the garden wearing it, before going in the shed to groom my imaginary horse.)
The luxurious velvety bodice features a soft pink jacquard panel and gold lace trims over a rich satin tiered skirt with full gathers, topped with flower trims and it comes with a matching bolero with glittering puff sleeves (but you’ll have to get your own imaginary horse).

I love floor quilts/playmats and I also think all children should have a wigwam… or teepee… or even just a tent, so I really love this Wild West Wigwam Floor Quilt.
The embroidered and appliquéd design details include a golden blazing sun with surrounding animals, and the design is finished off with feathers and tufts of grass around the edges for authenticity! The reverse is a plain blue cotton.
This floor quilt fits perfectly inside the Kiddiewinkles Wild West Wigwam or alternatively it makes a gorgeous floor quilt for a playroom or bedroom.

Love our wonderful puppets? Why not complete the imaginative inspiration with this fantastic floor standing puppet theatre?
A must for all puppet shows and just brilliant for creative play in general. It could be a shop, a theatre, even a TV – you’re only limited by your imagination.
Plus, how cool does it look? Even standing empty!

We love this hide away puppet mouse family in their cheese wedge home.
Each mouse can come out of its cheese home and be used as a finger puppet.
Make story telling come to live with this fantastic puppet set.

Oh my goodness, my sons would LOVE this new Fire Engine Wendy House.
A door on either side, a large windscreen and a roof that covers half the fire engine make it suitable for both smaller and bigger kids (who can stand up to “drive”), and the easy to assemble metal frame is a boon to parents too.
Hand embroidered and appliquéd authentic design details make it extra special. I’d say it’s a perfect way to keep kids quiet, but it does need a siren…

You know the other day I mentioned Christmas? Well Strictly Come Dancing is back this week and there’s no clearer sign that Christmas is coming than that show. It makes me think of dark nights, twinkly lights and glasses of something warming…
Are you interested? (In the show, not the rest of my reminiscences.) Are your children? Then perhaps this Ballroom Bella doll by Groovy Girls will make it onto a few Christmas lists this year.

I’m sorry to be the first one to bring this up – I am the first one, aren’t I? Don’t tell me there are crackers and selection boxes in the supermarkets already – but, you know, it’s happening. Summer holidays are over and what’s next? Yep.
This year I vow to be organised. Do I say that every year? I could look back and check, but I don’t dare. But this year… this year… I’m going to buy cards, wrapping paper, cellotape. Presents! Actual presents that people might want. And decorations. And food. This is the year I’m finally going to act like a grown-up. Probably. How about you?

The smooth-textured Organic Skwish Natural fascinates babies with its web of natural rods, beads, and balls.
It’s perfect to distract even the smallest babies and give the parents a quick break. Plus it’s educational, so it’s also guilt-free. I don’t think you can give a better gift than that!

This is such a good idea. One of the things that bugs me about fancy dress is that you don’t get an enormous amount of wear out of any outfit. Children tend to go to parties with the same group and, understandably, don’t want to wear the same outfit every single time.
This racing driver/astronaut outfit is reversible – be a silver astronaut for one party and flip it back to red racing driver for the next. (The soft helmet accessory is also reversible.)

So many of my friends have had babies lately, but I never have to think for long about what to buy them, since I almost always go with muslins or security blankets. Before I had children, I didn’t understand why people kept telling me to buy muslins, but they turned out to be THE best investment.
These Issie security squares by aden + anais are playfully designed in their exclusive, modern prints and made of natural cotton breathable muslin, which allows liberal airflow for even the youngest baby.
Each pack contains two identical Issies, one for the wash and one for snuggling up with.
