Our favourite Halloween costume for everyone

October 27th, 2011

I absolutely love this costume. Great for boys, girls, babies and PERFECT for Harry Potter fans of all ages.

Easy to wear with handy side slits – so it could well work for a child who’s not keen on getting dressed up – and made from soft brushed suedette and textured feather effect fur. The wonderful owl hat finishes it all off beautifully.

It’s available in 2 sizes 18 months to 8 years and I really wish it was available for adults too.

Our favourite Halloween costume for babies

We’re sharing our favourite Halloween costumes and this pumpkin cape is our pick for babies.

Often babies aren’t overly keen on putting on a fancy costume, so this outfit is perfect. It features loads of satin applique detail including a very mischievous pumpkin face! Adorable.

Our favourite Halloween costume for boys

October 20th, 2011

As Halloween approaches (on a broomstick, I imagine), we decided to share our favourite dressing-up outfits for girls, boys and babies. (See our favourite girls costume.)

This Monster costume is just my kind of thing because I’m a scaredycat and I don’t like to see children in properly scary costumes. This brown furry monster hooded cape with horns, ears and gold shiny spikes fits the Halloween bill, but it’s also really cute. Available in 2 sizes 18 months to 8 years.

Our favourite costume for babies is coming up next week.

Our favourite Halloween costume for girls

October 18th, 2011

The shops are full of scary masks and buckets of sweets and even my husband made pumpkin risotto last night, so I thought I’d share my favourite Halloween costumes for boys, girls and babies. First up: girls.

This pretty Midnight Fairy Dressing up Set includes a soft layered net skirt, and a beautiful set of fairy wings presented on a hanger style card. It’s a bit more unusual than a witch’s outfit and the wings are just stunning. Available in 3+ years.

Boys and babies coming soon.

How do you feel about Halloween?

October 6th, 2011

Halloween is approaching and we need to decide whether this year we’re going to embrace it or whether we going to ignore it and hide in the house like previous years.

I do appreciate the fun of dressing up, but some of the costumes are scary even for me, let alone my two young children. I just can’t see the fun in a six foot tall teenager wearing a Scream mask, walking the streets in the dark (just the idea of that makes me squeak in fear!).

What do you think? Do you find it all fun or are you a scaredycat, like me?
